Welcome to the first annual German American Cultural Center of Maryland Volksmarch!

A Volksmarch is a traditional, non-competitive walk celebrating health, heritage, and community. Originating in Germany, it’s all about taking in the sights, enjoying the journey, and connecting with others.

Join us for a cultural adventure through Baltimore’s iconic neighborhoods and waterfront, featuring:

  • War Memorial Plaza & City Hall
  • The World Trade Center
  • Inner Harbor & USS Constellation
  • Federal Hill & Riverside Park
  • Fort McHenry & the Immigration Museum
  • Pride of Baltimore Memorial & The Battle Monument
  • and More!

    Step up for a great cause and Unleash Your Inner German!

This special event features:

  • A scenic group walk along historic spots in Baltimore
  • Reusable water bottles
  • A collector’s pin and certificate for participants

Children aged 13 and under can participate for free and receive a certificate!

All proceeds will go towards the preservation and restoration of the historic Sexton House. Lets walk together to protect this historic part of Baltimore.


The walk will start and end at 400 E Lexington St.
